Rail freight across Europe and to Asia, from container to wagon

Rail freight within Europe and between Europe and Asia: full containers or groupage, full wagonloads and combined rail-road transport, with customs clearance included.

At a glance

Rail, between air and sea

Rail offers a compelling middle ground for regular flows: faster than sea freight over long distances between Europe and Asia, more economical than air freight and well suited to large volumes. Within Europe, it complements road haulage on major corridors. We combine rail and road for door-to-door delivery, customs formalities included.

Europe–Asia

Containers by rail between Europe and Asia

Eurasian rail links connect the two continents overland. They suit goods that are too bulky for air freight but too urgent for sea freight. Your cargo travels as a full container or as groupage, and we coordinate the paperwork, border crossings and customs clearance on arrival.

  • Full container load (FCL)
  • Groupage (LCL)
  • Transit time between air and sea
  • Customs clearance on arrival
Rail-road

Combined transport: rail for distance, road for the last mile

Combined transport puts the main leg on rail and keeps road haulage for the first and last miles. A truck collects your goods and drops them at the rail terminal, then another delivers them to the consignee. You benefit from rail capacity while still receiving delivery straight to site.

  • Pre-carriage by truck
  • Main leg by rail
  • On-carriage to the consignee

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Is rail faster than sea freight to Asia?

Generally, yes: rail shortens transit time compared with sea freight while remaining less expensive than air freight. Actual transit time depends on the route and border crossings.

Can I ship less than a full container?

Yes, groupage lets you share a container with other shippers. You only pay for the space your goods occupy.

Which goods are suited to rail transport?

Industrial goods, spare parts, consumer products and raw materials all travel well by rail. Dangerous or sensitive goods require a prior assessment: simply describe them in your request.
